April Verlo: Live Life
This shirt is printed in memory of RAYGUN-fan April Verlo. She was a fierce woman, soldier, auntie, scientist, dog-mom, friend, and wife.
04/11/77-12/11/25.
April lived a life marked by her dedication to her friends, animals, and her country.
April was born and raised in the Midwest, graduated from Iowa State University, and joined the Army, serving for 25 years as a medical officer until her passing on December 11th of 2025 from metastatic breast cancer.
April travelled extensively, visiting 39 countries, and ensuring she either got a sticker, national park stamp, or smashed penny to mark the occasion. Her desire to see new places and do new things never waned, even as her health declined.
She loved animals, and adopted three dogs, providing a loving home to rescue animals for years. She eventually convinced her husband Jeff to buy and renovate an RV to enable more adventures with her beloved pets. Many puppy-powered adventures crisscrossing the U.S. were had.
April was an avid snowboarder, and loved escaping to the mountains. Few things made her happier than clear skies, fresh powder, and good friends on the slopes with her. She snowboarded extensively in Europe and the U.S., making memories that will last a lifetime for the people with her.
Most of all, she lived her life to the fullest - even before the diagnosis that changed so many things, and ended a brilliant life too soon. Her courage, compassion, and devotion to her friends and family will continue to inspire. And like she always said, "Stop buying pink shit and get a f****** mammogram."
You are loved forever, and we'll see you in Valhalla.
